Case against man who fradulently worked as jail guard for 22 years
Varanasi, July 19 (UNI) A criminal case has been registered here against a man who worked as a guard in various jails of Uttar Pradesh for the last 22 years on the basis of a fake appointment letter.
A criminal case was registered at the Cantonment police station yesterday against Krishna Madhav Mishra, who worked as jail guard in various prisons across the state since 1985 on the basis of a fake appointment letter, district jail sources said here today.
The name of the guard concerned has been struck off from the posting register of the district jail, where he was posted since 2004 and further proceedings to initiate departmental action against him started, sources added.
Mishra got employment as a jail guard in Fatehgarh jail in 1985 fradulently and since then was posted in various jails of the state.
The major fraud came to light recently with the state jail administration cracking many cases of jail guards working fradulently in UP prisons.
