Tata Tea Q1 net slips by 3.37pc to Rs 43 cr

New Delhi, July 17: Tata Tea Ltd has today said it has posted a 3.37 per cent dip in its net profit to Rs 43 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 44.5 crore for the corresponding period last year.

Its total income has increased by 14.40 per cent to Rs 303.85 crore from Rs 265.58 crore in the same period.

The Group's Consolidated Net Profit also dipped by 42.94 per cent to Rs 45.68 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 80.07 crore for the corresponding period last year.

Consolidated total income has increased from by 27.58 per cent to Rs 1028.79 crore from Rs 806.37 crore in the same period.
