Oil sector officers' indefinite strike from Aug 21
New Delhi, July 17: In lieu of its various pending demands, the Oil Sector Officers' Association (OSOA) today said it will go on indefinite stike from August 21.
OSOA, which represents over 45,000 officers in the oil PSUs had been urging Ad Hoc relief pending wage revision, 50 per cent DA merger and reimbursement towards Income Tax on Perquisites.
There is no apparent progress on the issue of Pay Revision subsequent to the presentation to Justice Rao Committee, convenor of the association Ashok Singh said in a statement.
He said that inspite of categorical assurances given by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Prime Minister no apparent progress has been made on the issues raised by OSOA over last one year.
