Mumbai, July 17 (UNI) A local court today reserved its order till July 24 on revision application of Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) seeking cancellation of Haseena Parkar's bail as the defence sought time to approach the High court.

As soon as the matter came up for dictation of the order, Parkar's counsel Shyam Keswani told the court of Civil and Sessions Judge Ashok Bhangale that they wanted time to challenge this court's earlier brief order that stated 'criminal revision application for cancellation of bail is maintainable,' in the Bombay High Court.

Judge Bhangale granted time and reserved its order till July 24.

The AEC sleuths filed a revision application seeking cancellation of bail of Parkar which was granted by the lower court as they wanted her custodial interrogation.

Parkar, sister of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, was allegedly involved in an extortion, and cheating case in SRA disputed project at Wadala in south central Mumbai.

On May 24, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate V K Sharma had granted bail of Rs 25,000 to Parkar.

She had allegedly threatened Vinod Avalani, an estate agent.

Avalani was also told not to insist on repayment of Rs 30 lakh which was paid to two builders for a slum redevelopment project deal that did not take off.
