BEST demands 800 MW of power from Tata Power
Mumbai, July 17 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) management today, in its reply filed before the Maharashtra Electricity Rgulatory Commission (MERC), demanded 800 mega watt of power from Tata Power Company (TPC) Limited.
BEST General Manager Uttam Khobargade said the undertaking needed the 800 MW power that it receives from TPCL and opposed the demand of Reliance Energy Limited (REL), which also distributes power in the suburbs, for 150 MW out of the 800 MW power.
Small Scale Associations, a consumer body, has also opposed REL's demand.
