Bail application of slain BJP MLA's nephew rejected

Ghazipur, July 17 (UNI) The district court today rejected the bail application of slain BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai's nephew Manoj Rai.

He was arrested in connection with an explosion at Rai's house in Tulsisagar area last month.

The district court judge Amarnath Upadhyay rejected the petition saying the matter was serious.

One policeman was killed when explosives purportedly procured by Manoj went off.

A Bihar-based criminal was also arrested in the case.
