14-member NSCN-IM team in Delhi for talks
Kohima, Jul 17: A 14-member NSCN-IM delegation led by its Chairman Isak Chishi Swu and General Secretary Thuingaleng Muivah left for New Delhi yesterday to discuss the extension of cease-fire with the Union Government.
In a meeting held at Camp Hebron, before their departure for New Delhi, Mr Swu said the ongoing political process between the Centre and NSCN-IM was the longest ever political negotiation in the world. Talks are scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday.
While addressing the gathering Mr Muivah also expressed hope that the upcoming talks would yield positive results.
He also called upon the Nagas to understand their position and hoped that an undersadning would soon be arrived at.
The 14-member delegation would also meet several political leaders and bureaucrats during their stay in the national capital, sources said.
