Three injured as Tihar inmates fight among themselves

New Delhi, July 16 (UNI) Three inmates of the high security Tihar Jail were injured in a scuffle amongst themselves in Rajouri Garden area of west Delhi this morning.

The fight between the inmates took place while they were being taken to the Rohini Court, said a senior Tihar official.

Two of the prisoners -- Sanjay and Shamsuddin -- reportedly beat one of their co-inmate Ravi at Basai Darapur, near ESI Hospital, under Rajouri Garden police station at about 0745 hrs while being taken to the court, said the official.

The three were taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where they were discharged after first aid, he said adding that a case had been registered at Rajouri Garden police station.

Sources said the attack was made with a blade and the injuries were deep and added that all the three were from Jail No 3.
