SP MP booked for threatening Raju Pal murder witness

Allahabad, July 16 (UNI) Controversial Samajwadi Party MP Atiq Ahmed and his 15 supporters have been charged with threatening an eye witness of the 2005 BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case.

In a complaint at Kareli police station, Rukhsana -- wife of Mohd Sadik, an eye witness in the case, alleged that SP MP and aides kidnapped her husband and threatened him to change the statement.

A case had been registered late last night against Atiq and 15 others, including the then SO, Kareli, Rajesh Kumar Singh and SO, Shivkuti, Abdul Sattar, police said.

Ruksana is also an eye witness in the case.
