Soma Ltd bags Rs 329.4 cr contract from NHAI
New Delhi, July 16 (UNI) Soma Enterprise Ltd, a leading infrastructure developers today said it has signed an agreement with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for Rs 329.4 crore road contract, in joint venture (JV) with Malaysia-based Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd (SunCon).
The project involves construction of a four-lane highway providing connectivity to the International Container Transshipment Terminal (I.C.T.T) at Vallarpadam, Cochin in Kerala and is being implemented in close co-ordination with Cochin Port Trust, said a statement.
The 17.2 km highway project includes construction of one flyover, twelve bridges, one railway under bridge, seven underpasses and one toll plaza, to be completed over a period of 30 months, the statement added.
''This is one of our most challenging road projects that involves construction of eleven bridges on a single stretch. We would be deploying the best technology and engineering for this vital project a,'' Soma Enterprise Ltd Director Ankineedu Maganti said.
