Slain journalist's family demands impartial inquiry

Bhopal, July 16 (UNI) Family members of slain journalist Pawan Vidrohi, who was murdered recently, have demanded an impartial inquiry into his death and alleged that political pressure was affecting the investigation.

Ms Sangita Jain, wife of Mr Vidrohi, while addressing a press conference organised by an action committee formed to demand the arrest of Mr Vidrohi's murderers, said her husband was quite tense since the past six months.

She claimed that he used to regularly get threatening calls.

Alleging that police were trying to entrap their relatives instead of nabbing the real culprits, Ms Jain demanded Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan that an impartial inquiry be carried out into the murder of her husband, who laid down his life while discharging his duties as a fearless journalist.

The committee's convenor, Mr Manoj Pradhan, said members of Jain community would take out a march on July 22 and reach the CM's residence demanding arrest of the accused.
