Rich tributes paid to Pandit P N Bazaz on 23 death anniversary

New Delhi, July 16 (UNI) Rich tributes were paid to Pandit Prem Nath Bazaz, freedom fighter and founder president of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF), on his 23rd anniversary of death.

Prayer meetings were simultaneously held in Delhi, Jammu and Srinagar, where people from all walks of life paid homage to him.

JKDF president Bushan Bazaz described Pandit Bazaz as an initiator of political and social awakening among Kashmiris.

''He was a true son of Kashmir who fought for the interest of the people through various forums and upheld the traditional values of secularism and amity in the valley,'' he added.
