New Delhi, July 16: The CBI today informed the Supreme Court that its appeal pending before the Argentina Federal Court against a lower court's order dismissing the investigating agency's application seeking extradition of Bofors accused Ottavio Quattrocchi will come up for hearing after July 23.

Additional Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium prayed for a short adjournment before the bench, comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan, and Justices Tarun Chatterjee and R V Raveendran, which was allowed and the matter adjourned.

Quattrocchi, an Italian fugitive, is facing allegations of being involved in the Rs 64.5 crore Bofors gun scandal. He was arrested by the Argentinian police on January 23 this year but the CBI failed to make a case for his extradition to India.
