One dead, nine injured as tanker hits autorickshaw

Jagadhari, July 16 (UNI) One youth died while nine others were injured today when a tanker hit an over-crowded stationary autorickshaw on Bilaspur Sirsauli Road near here.

The 24-year-old youth, Sanjiv Kumar, who was alighting from the autorickshaw, was crushed and died on the spot when the vehicle overturned after being hit by a tanker from rear, police said.

Nine people, including six women and the driver of the auto, were injured and had been admitted to the Civil hospital here.

The driver of the tanker was absconding while the police has impounded the vehicle and registered a case.
