New mind game 'suthasa' invented by awardee scientist
Chennai, July 16 (UNI) A middle-aged Nagercoil-based scientist has invented a mind game ''SUTHASA'' by using numbers zero to 15 in a new way of Puzzling.
The scientist T Muthu Ayyappan, a winner of Tamil Nadu Scientist Award in 2001 awarded by the State Council for Science and Technology, Chennai, told newspersons here today that the mind concepts based in the game were 135 numbers.
''We have to tally all 15 columns and rows, We can select any number series from a minimum of six to 18 in a large box. We can fix the game in any grade like easy, medium or difficult'', he explained.
Mr Ayappan said accommodation of more numbers in a short framework was the special feature of the puzzle. The game served as a good grounding in maths.
The game was entirely different from the existing puzzles, he claimed.
Mr Muthu Ayyappan, an employee of the state owned Arasu Rubber Corporation and member of Society of Puzzles for Intellectual Development and Brain Orientation, claimed that the mind game attracted people of all ages. These games were being designed from ancient times.
