Modhwadia begins 72-hour fast in front of Gujarat Assembly
Gandhinagar, July 16 (UNI) Leader of opposition in the Gujarat Assembly Arjun Modhwadia today began a 72-hour fast here, demanding tabling of report of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) regarding corruption in Sujalam-Sufalam yojana.
A two-day session of the state Assembly begins on July 19.
He has undertaken the fast at the main assembly building in front of Babasaheb Ambedkar's statue. Several Congressmen were present at the spot.
Tomorrow afternoon, the Congress will be holding a mock Vidhan sabha proceeding, where issues like the Rs 500 crore corruption in the Sujalam scheme and other schemes, embroiled in controversy, would be discussed.
