Milk goes sour in Vita plant in Ambala
Ambala, July 16 (UNI) The VITA Milk Plant suffered a huge loss after the milk stored in the plant turned sour and unfit for human consumption due to prolonged power cuts.
The supplies were adversely affected as the supply of milk to the VITA booths was also held up for the day.
Later, the plant authorities continued partial supplies by arranging milk from other sources.
However, the soured milk was utilised for making milk products.
When contacted, the authorities stated that over 300 litres of milk had gone due to prolonged power cut.
Now urgent measures will be taken to ensure that the stored milk didn't turn sour in future, they added.
