Kerala plans to set up spl courts for women harassment cases
Thiruvananthapuram, July 16 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today told the State Assembly that the Government is seriously considering a suggestion to set up special courts in the state for handling cases related to harassment of women.
During the past one year, the Government had registered 13 sex racket cases, he said in a written reply to a query from Babu M Palissery (CPM) and others.
However, the Government had no information that activities of sex racket gangs were strengthening in the State, he added.
Mr Balakrishnan said the Government was examining how to check the menace in the State.
