Haryana allocates Rs 700 crore for rural development project
Chandigarh, July 16 (UNI) Haryana Government has allocated Rs 700 crore for rural development projects during the current financial year, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said here today.
The ammount is the highest ever allocation made in a single year towards the integrated development of the villages, Mr Hooda said at a meeting presided over by him to review implementation of announcements relating to Haryana Rural Development Fund.
The Chief Minister said the Haryana Government had incurred a sum of Rs. 1267.37 crore during the last two years for executing various schemes relating to development of villages.
He said that Haryana Rural Development Fund Administration Board had released a sum of Rs 353 crore so far for executing a number of rural development works like construction and repair of veterinary hospitals and dispensaries, school buildings, chaupals, panchayat ghars and community centres in the State.
The Chief Minister said a sum of Rs 39 crore had been earmarked for the repair, maintenance and construction of veterinary hospitals and dispensaries in the state during the current financial year. He further said that Panchayats had been given the administrative power to execute the development works amounting to Rs 3 lakh.
