Four Delhi pilgrims on way to Amarnath die in road mishap

Jalandhar, July 16 (UNI) At least four pilgrims from Delhi on way to the holy cave-shrine of Amarnath died and two others were injured when the vehicle they were travelling in turned turtle on Jalandhar-Amritsar road near here today.

According to police, the mishap took place when the driver of the four-wheeler lost control over the vehicle apparently due to drowsiness.

The deceased have been identified as Ramesh Chander, Anil Kumar, Ravinder Singh and Ravi Kumar, all residents of Delhi on way to Amarnath shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.

The injured Rajender Sharma and Baldev Singh were admitted in a local private hospital, where their condition was stated to be out of danger, police said.
