CPI-M leaders participate in one-day hunger strike
Hyderabad, July 16 (UNI) Communist Party of India CPI(M) state Secretary and national politburo member B V Raghavulu, along with other party leaders, today participated in a hunger strike to protest against the state government's indifferent attitude towards solving land problems in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Raghavulu alleged that the government has failed to distribute agricultural lands and house sites to the poor families in the state. The CPM party would launch 'fast unto death' from July 22 if the government did not respond to their demands.
Calling upon all political parties to participate in the land occupation struggle in the state launched by the CPM, he alleged that the government was trying to suppress the land agitation by foisting cases against the party leaders and activists.
