34 reservoirs in Guj filled upto brim

Gandhinagar, July 16 (UNI) Following heavy rains last week across Gujarat, 34 reservoirs, including 13 in Central and 21 in Saurashtra region of the state, have been filled to the brim.

The Flood Control Cell has issued high alert for 54 reservoirs that have been filled upto 90 to 100 per cent, minor alert at 16 reservoirs filled upto 80 to 90 per cent and general alert issued at 17 other reservoirs.

As on today, 8915.48 million cubic meter water has been stored in the State's reservoirs. Last year on the same date, 6016.62 million cubic meter water was stored, official sources said.
