Traffic restrictions for Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath tomorrow

New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) Traffic in the Old Delhi areas is likely to be affected tomorrow due to the annual rath yatra procession of Lord Jagannath and Badrinath.

Due to the procession, which is to start at 1300 hours from the Jagannath Badrinath temple at Daryaganj and pass through Dariba Kalan, Chandni chowk, Nai Sarak, Chawri Bazar, Ajmeri Gate, Khari Baoli and Lahori Gate to reach the Jagannath temple outside Old Rajghat, the Delhi Police will carry out traffic restrictions at Daryaganj, Subhash Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Chandni Chowk, Ajmeri Gate and Deshbandhu Gupta Road.

The movement of the traffic in these areas will be restricted from 1300 hrs to midnight.

Traffic police have made adequate arrangements for smooth passage of traffic. Commuters have been advised to avoid the route of the procession and plan their journey accordingly.

People coming from South Delhi and New Delhi area wanting to go to the Old Delhi railway station and ISBT have been advised to use the Ring Road, Chatta rail road and S P Mukherjee Marg while those coming from North wanting to reach New Delhi railway Station can use Rani Jhansi Road, Panchkuian Road and Chelmsford Road.
