BSF seizes sandalwood worth Rs 3 Crore near Bangladesh border
Basirhat, July 15 (UNI) Border Security Force have seized substantial quantity of sandalwood from Amudia in North 24 Parganas, bordering Bangladesh, police said here today.
The smuggled wood, each of them five feet in length and having a total worth of about Rs three crore, was reserved to be smuggled to Bangladesh.
BSF yesterday handed over three allegedly involved persons to the police.
Police have registered a case in this connection.
