BJP women's wing against compulsory registration of pregnant women
Thene, July 15 (UNI) The BJP women's wing has condemed the Maharashtra Government's move to make registration compulsory for pregnant women.
The State Government has proposed the move with a view to curb abortions.
The BJP women's wing strongly condemned this move at its two-day state executive meet in Pune.
Informing this, BJP Mahila Morcha state president Manisha Choudhary told UNI that women are initially shy of revealing their pregnancy and, so, the proposed move is unwarranted.
She said the meet had discussed at length the strategy to be adopted by the women's wing for the forthcoming state assembly elections.
