Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh to observe protest against SEZs tomorrow

New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh will launch a protest week from tomorrow against Special Economic Zones (SEZ).

As part of the protests, dharnas and rallies will be organised all over the country, to be addressed by BMS all India leaders.

In a statement here, the BMS said,''the government, in the name of SEZs, is acquiring the poor farmer's land at low rates and giving it to big industrial houses. It is an attempt to take the fertile land of farmers which will reflect on agriculture products. All this seems to be a big land scam.'' The BMS demanded that a regulatory authority be formed to go into the policy of SEZ.

''All political parties and trade unions should also be consulted and taken into confidence while framing the policy of SEZ,''it said.
