Youth arrested for attempting to kill girl,parents

Barrackpore, July 14 (UNI) A youth who allegedly attempted to kill a girl and her parents, was arrested from his residence under Noapara police station in North 24 Parganas today.

Police said Abhishek Chowdhury, working in the IT sector at Salt Lake, attacked the 22-year old girl and her parents with weapons injuring them.

The girl had reportedly refused to marry him, police added.

All the injured were admitted to the sub-divisional hospital here, police said.

In another incident, the body of a ten-year old boy was recovered from a roadside tank at Ruia under Khardah police station in the district this morning.

The victim had been missing for a couple of days, police said.
