Two killed and one injured in north Kashmir accident

Srinagar, July 14 (UNI) Two persons were killed and 29 others, including Bihari labourers, were wounded in different road accidents in the Kashmir valley, sources said.

They said a group of three youth were on their way home on a motorcycle, after playing a cricket match, when an unknown speeding vehicle hit them at Lassar Rafiabad in Baramulla district last night.

Two died on the spot and another was shifted to hospital in a critical condition.

The police have launched a massive hunt to identify the vehicle and arrest the driver, sources added.

They said a passenger bus met with an accident near Hawal, in south Kashmir's Pulwama district today resulting in injuries to 14 Bihari labourers.

The injured have been hospitalised and a case registered.

An Army vehicle hit and injured three Special Police Officers (SPO) at main Bazar Sheeri in Baramulla district of north Kashmir late last night.

The injured were rushed to district hospital Baramulla.

However, SPO Mohammad Maqbool was referred to Shar-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) at Soura here in a critical condition.

A mini-bus on its way to Sopore from Shiva overturned near Saidpora causing injuries to ten passengers, police said, adding that the injured have been shifted to hospital.

In another road accident' an unkown vheicle hit and critically wounded one Amir Ahmad Parray at Bandipora of north Kashmir last evening.
