South western monsoon weakens in Rajasthan

Jaipur, July 14 (UNI) South western monsoon, which was active in Rajasthan has weakened in the State in the last few days.

Except sporadic rains in some places, the State witnesed hot and humid weather today. Hindon in Karuli district reported the highest rain of 80 mm in the last twenty four hours while Beir area in Dholpur district reported 35mm, Alwar and Laxmangarh received 25 mm of rain.

According to the Met department the first phase of South western monsoon is fading out while the depression developing in the Bay of Bengal may bring rain again in the State in the next fortnight.

Rain or thunder showers may occur in some places in Eastern or Northern part of the State in the next twenty four hours.
