Sopore police station in North Kashmir attacked, 2 injured

Srinagar, July 14 (UNI) Militants tonight attacked Sopore police station with rifle grenades causing injures to two jawans.

Official sources said the militants fired two rifle grenades from an unknown place targeting police station Sopore.

One of the grenades missed the intended target and exploded without causing any damage. However, the other exploded near the police station building causing injures to two Special Police Officers (SPOs) Showkat Ahmad and Bashir Ahmad.

The Militants later managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
