One killed, four injured in maoist attack in Bihar
Hajipur, July 13 (UNI) A group of more than 60 Maoist activists today attacked the Panapur Langa village, killing one person and injuring four others under town police station in Vaishali district.
Police said the Maoists attacked the residence of Yogendra Thakur and asked him to come out.
As Thakur emerged from his house, the Maoists opened fire, killing him on the spot.
Later, they took four villagers into their custody and shot them at the outskirt of the village. All of them sustained injuries.
The injured had been admitted to a local hospital.
Raids were on to nab the Maoists.
Additional reinforcement had been sent to the spot to carry out combing operation in the area.
