North Coastal AP to get heavy rains in next 48 hrs
Hyderabad, July 14 (UNI) North Coastal Andhra Pradesh will get heavy rains in the next 48 hours, as a well-marked low pressure area over North West Bay of Bengal off North Orissa and West Bengal coasts persisted.
Moderate rain to heavy rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at many places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari in the next 48 hours, the Weather office said here.
''Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Telangana and in the remaining districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh,'' it added.
Isolated rainfall or thundershowers were likely to occur over Rayalaseema during the period.
Hyderabad would have generally cloudy sky. There were chances of rain or thundershowers in some parts of the state capital.
Rain occurred at a few places over Telangana in the last 24 hours.
Isolated rain occurred over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema regions, the Weather office said.
Perur and Venkatapuram recorded a heavy rainfall of four cm each, followed by Eturnagaram, Prathipadu, Seetharamapuram three each, Chittoor, Koilkuntla, Peddapuram, Ranasthalam two each and Kakinada, Araku Valley, Chintapalli Dummagudem, Kunavaram, Yellandu, Kaleswaram, Kalwakurthy, Koyyalagudem, Polavaram, Palamaner, Satyavedu and Rajahmundry one each.
