Govt hospitals in Basti division running by pharmacists

Siddharthnagar, July 14 (UNI) Following the paucity of doctors, 31 of the 294 government hospitals in the Basti division are being run by pharmacists.

Four government hospitals of Sant Kabirnagar district are being by pharmacists, who are not qualified to carry out the job.

The list includes 27 hospitals of Siddharth Nagar district.

According to sources, of the 127 sanctioned posts of doctors, 62 are lying vaccant in Sant Kabir Nagar district, whereas, of the 158 sanctioned posts, 45 are lying vaccant in Siddharth Nagar district.
