Mumbai, July 14 (UNI) A former Air-India employee has filed a complaint with the Vakola Police here, alleging threat to his life and family members by a section of AI staff.

Anupam Pandya, in his complaint, stated that two Air India employees initially coerced him to withdraw a first information report (FIR), which he had filed against Chairman and Managing Director of Air India V Thulasidas and other officials on April 5.

He has also accused two other officials -- V M Datar and mMore -- and their 60 associates of assaulting him and his family members and ransacking his house on July 10.

In his complaint, Mr Pandya further alleged that the assaulters even got him and his family arrested at the Vakola Police Station by filing an FIR against him.

''I say, from the circumstances, it is very clear that my life and that of my family members is in danger only because I have filed an FIR against the said staff,'' he stated in the complaint.

Mr Pandya alleged that he was fired from the job at AI on June 8, 2004, where he was working as a Service Engineer, after he brought to notice serious irregularities in the Line Maintenance Department and Major Maintenance Department of the international carrier.

When contacted, officials at Vakola Police station said Mr Pandya's complaint is being investigated.
