Dhian Singh Mand to lead SAD (Amritsar)

Fatehgarh Sahib, July 14 (UNI) Akali activist Dhian Singh Mand will now lead Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar).

Earlier, when Akali Dal (A) chief Simranjit Singh Mann was jailed in a sedition case, senior vice president Daljit Singh Bittu had become leader of the party.

However, party office secretary Ranjit Singh Cheema on behalf of Simranjit Singh Mann today released a statement that in the light of Daljit Singh's cancellation of bail, the party has decided that the next senior most party leader Dhian Singh Mand would now lead.

However, all major decisions of the party would be taken in the Political affairs committe, Mr Cheema said.
