Chouhan orders inquiry into delay in land transfer cases

Khargone, MP, July 14 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today ordered an inquiry into the working style of Sub-Divisional Magistrate, patwari and others over complaints regarding delay in resolving land transfers and other cases.

After Mr Chouhan met people as a part of his 'Jan darshan' programme at Kasravad in this district, agriculturist Hemant Singh told Mr Chouhan that land transfer was being deliberately delayed following his father's death.

He alleged that Revenue Department officials accepted bribe.

The farmer said he had complained about the matter to patwari and tahsildar several times.

Other farmers made similar complaints to the CM.

Mr Chouhan said inquiry would be held from patwari to Revenue Inspector, tahsildar and Sub-Divisional Magistrate over the matter.

He directed Collector E Ramesh Kumar to submit a report in this regard.

Earlier, Mr Chouhan said complaints regarding hefty electricity bills being charged despite meagre power supply would be inquired.

He announced government support for treatment of some patients, including a girl, Aarzoo, who is suffering from heart disease.

He announced sanctioning of Rs 1.04 crore for construction of court building, Rs 28 lakh for higher secondary buildings, Rs 18 lakh for Nagar Panchayat and Rs 25 lakh for other development works.
