Hyderabad, July 14 (UNI) Alleging that the United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) has no moral right to seek votes from the people as it had decided to abstain from voting in Presidential poll, BJP National Secretary N Indrasena Reddy today demanded that the Election Commission freeze the party symbols of the UNPA partners.

In a press release here, Mr Reddy charged that UNPA's decision was ''undemocratic''. Being recognised political parties, the UNPA partners should participate in the poll. The elected representatives have no moral right to continue in their posts if they abstain from voting, he alleged.

Demanding that the MLAs and MPs of the UNPA must also resign from their posts, he said the EC should take action against the political parties by cancelling the party symbols immediately.
