Bajaj launches 220 PULSAR DTS-FI powerbike

Chandigarh, July 14 (UNI) Bajaj Auto today launched a power-packed motorcycle -- 220 PULSAR DTS-FI -- to woo the speed-crazy younger generation in the City Beautiful.

The new Pulsar is the first bike from the company with the powerful combination of twin spark and fuel-injection technology and an ultimate machine for the performance motorcycle enthusiast'', S Sridhar, Chief Executive Officer, said in a press conference here after inaugrating the exclusive ''Bajaj Probiking'' Showroom, the 8th in a row in the country.

The company plans planned to open atleast 55 such showroom across the country, during the current fiscal, which will retail the motorcycles of 200cc and above in the segment, he said.

Mr Sridhar said the bike also comes equipped with many salient features of leading international bikes such as Odometer, speedo meter, fuel gauge and two trip meters, all in digitals, Oil cooler and split seats for styling and comfort.

The bike, packed with all these features, will be available at a price of around Rs 80,000, he said .

''The company has got orders for supply of hundred each bikes this new model from the states of Punjab and Haryana police'', he told.
