Youth attempts suicide in police station

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, July 13 (UNI) A 25-year-old man attempted to commit suicide inside a police station today allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

Police said here S Suresh was peeved his complaint over a dispute with his houseowner in Tadikonda Village was not entertained on the ground it related to a civil dispute.

Suresh then went to the Arundelpet Police Station here where he doused himself with petrol and attempted to set himself alight.

However, the police prevented him from taking the extreme step and registered a case of attempted suicide against him.
