Uma to decide ''in a week'' whether to contest Khargone

Morena, MP, July 13 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti (BJ) Founder-President Uma Bharti today said that she would decide in a week whether or not to contest the bypoll on the cards for Khargone Lok Sabha seat.

''I have received the related proposal from my party's State Executive. BJP leader Krishnamurari Moghe, who was disqualified from the Lok Sabha for occupying more than one office of profit, may challenge the Election Commission's decision in court,'' she told mediapersons here.

Maintaining that the BJ would contest all 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh's Assembly election next year, the firebrand sadhvi added that she would not tie up with any party.

''My votebank has witnessed a recent spurt. This state's BJP regime is mired in corruption. I can even sacrifice my life for Ram and roti. I will not allow demolition of the Palk Strait's Ram Setu as the demolition will render ten lakh fisherfolk unemployed,'' the former Chief Minister said.
