Two charred to death in godown fire

Mumbai, July 13 (UNI) Two persons were burnt alive in a major fire that broke out in the wee hours today in a raincoat godown at Pydhonie in South Mumbai.

The fire broke out around 0230 hours today, in the second and third floors of the Izarasion building, that were used to stock the raincoats.

Two persons -- Dinesh Kadam (30) and Nitin Kadam (20), who were sleeping in the godown, were burnt alive, police said.

It took ten fire engines and four water tankers to extinguish the fire after two hours of fire fighting excrcise.
