Technical issues coming in way of setting up of Agri varsities

Bangalore, July 13 (UNI) Karnataka Parliamentary Affairs Minister M P Prakash today said that a proposal was before the state government on the privatisation of colleges in agriculture, dairy and fisheries sectors in the context of globalisation.

Replying to a query by Mr Bosaraj of Congress on behalf of Mr Badarli Hamapanagouda of Congress in the Legislative Assembly Mr Prakash said that the government was going slow on the setting up of a new agriculture university at Raichur following the new trend which is already found in Maharashtra.

He said the cabinet had aproved the setting up of the the university at Raichur and set up a cabinet sub committee to go into the details of the proposal.

Agriculture Minister Bandeppa Kashempur earlier said that the cabinet sub committee had been set up to speed up the work on the project after dealing with some technical issues coming in the way.
