Ratan Tata receives LSE honorary fellowship

New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) Mr Ratan Tata, chairman of Tata Sons has been conferred an honorary fellowship from London School of Economics (LSE) and Political Science for his contribution in the global industry.

Honorary fellowships are awarded by LSE each year to people who have attained distinction in the arts, science, or public life, or who have rendered outstanding services to the School or its concerns.

Professor Lord Desai of LSE's Centre for the Study of Global Governance, read the oration for Mr Tata at the ceremony, held in London yesterday.

''Over the years, LSE has graduated economists and policy makers who have played an important part in influencing policy and governance of many developing countries. This honorary fellowship from the LSE is an honour that I value greatly,'' Mr Tata said.

The ceremony also marked the graduation of around 250 management, law and international relations students.
