New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) With the presidential polls just less than a week away, top leaders of the recently floated United National Progressive Alliance(UNPA) are meeting here tomorrow to discuss their strategy and decide their response to the issue of vice presidential candidate.

The UNPA had made an abortive bid last month to make incumbent APJ Abdul Kalam agree to contesting for a second term, and make other parties support his candidature.

They had later declared that they would neither support UPA candidate Pratibha Patil nor NDA candidate Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

A UNPA source said All India Anna DMK chief Jayalalitha and UNPA leader Jayalalitha, TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu and other Aliance leader arrived here this evening to hold a meeting tonight to discuss the details of the agenda for tomorrow's meeting.

He said that besides discussing their response to the presidential and vice presidential polls, the UNPA leaders will take stock of the ''overall political situation in the country.'' The notification for election of Vice President was issued this week, and the elections will be held in August.

The UNPA meeting will be held at the residence of INLD leader Om Prakash Chauthala.

So far, all the UNPA meetings had been held at the residence of Samajwadi Party egneral secretary Amar Singh.
