AP: Privilege motion against IPS officer
Hyderabad, July 13: Senior Congress leader and MLA P Janardhan Reddy today said he would move a privilege motion against city West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Madhusudhan Reddy in the Assembly session, scheduled to begin from July 16.
Addressing the press here, Mr Reddy alleged that the IPS officer had not filed attempt to murder cases against Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's brother Ravindranath Reddy even after his family members had lodged a complaint a week ago.
Stating that the police official had registered attempt to murder cases on his son and son-in-law after the Chief Minister's brother lodged a complaint with the police, he said he would move privilege motion against him on July 16.
''I would launch an indefinite hunger strike from July 16 demanding that the police register attempt to murder cases against CM's brother and suspend Madhusudhan Reddy,'' he said.
''AICC General Secretary and state party affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh has informed me that senior Cognress leader Iqbal Singh would be sent to the state to conduct an inquiry into this matter,'' he added.
