No power cut in Punjab up to 2015: Badal

Chandigarh, July 13: The Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has declared that no power cut would be imposed up to December 31, 2015 on all new and old industrial consumers except during emergency and peak load hour restrictions.

A spokesman of the Punjab government said here today that this unprecedented decision had been taken by the Chief Minister in response to the request of various industrial associations that called on him at Amritsar earlier, seeking extension of 'no power cut period' for Goindwal Sahib Industrial Complex from 2010 to 2015.
