HC directs sugar mill to pay Rs 10 crore to farmers

Allahabad, July 13 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today directed the Malakpur Sugar Mill administration in Bagpat district of Uttar Pradesh to pay Rs 10 crore, which it owes to famers, latest by July 16.

The petitioner sugar mill had filed a petition seeking relief against the recovery of Rs 85 crore, which it owes to the farmers.

However, a two bench comprising Justices Amitabh Lala and B C Mishra directed the mill administration to first pay Rs 10 crore latest by July 16, the next date of hearing.
