Haryana MP seeks sanction of development projects on priority basis

New Delhi, July 13 (UNI) Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy today assured Haryana MP Deepender Singh Hooda that the development projects concerning Haryana would be sanctioned on priority basis so as to give further impetus to the development of infrastructure in the state.

Mr Hooda had called on the Minister here and impressed upon him to sanction developmental projects costing Rs 529 crore at the earliest possible as their execution would accelerate the pace of development, especially in national capital region falling in the State.

While the projects of Public Works Department involved an investment of Rs 326 crore, that of Water Supply and Sanitation Department would cost Rs 203 crore.

These projects are in the areas of Public Works(Building Roads) Department included construction of by pass at Kharkhoda, widening and strengthening of road from National Highway 71 to National Highway 10 via Singhpura Kalan to Singhpura Khurd, Bahu Jamalpur in Rohtak district.

The other projects are construction of road from Northern by pass, Rohtak to national highway No. 71, (to be used as diversion in Rohtak district),improvement of national highway 10 passing through Rohtak town, rail over-bridges on Daultabad Road and Farukhnagar road in Gurgaon, ROB on Haily Mandi-Kulana road, Murthal-Sonepat road, Sonepat-Kharkhoda-Sampla road, Rohtak-Kharkhoda-Delhi border, Jhajjar to Farukhnagar,Gurgaon and Sampla-Jhajjar road.

The projects concerning the water supply and sanitation department included water supply project at Rewari and Water supply as well as sewerage projects at Gannaur, Bahadurgarh, Bawal, Beri,Kalanaur,Sonepat, Kharkhoda, Meham, Kosli and Sampla.

Mr Hooda expressed his gratitude to the Union Minister for giving a patient hearing and assuring that these projects would be sanctioned in the larger interests of Haryana.
