Govt employees should shed tendency to strike work:Janakiraman
Puducherry, July 13 (UNI) State DMK convener and former Puducherry Chief Minister R V Janakiraman today called upon the governmentemployees to shed their tendency to strike work for all causes.
In a statement here, Mr Janakiraman, referred to continuing agitation by the anganwadi workers, and said they should hold discussions with the authorities concerned to sort out their problems and strike should be the last resort.
He said poor children and pregnant women were affected due to their strike as they unable to get nutritious food.
Criticising the government for announcing the termination of anganwadi workers, who failed to join duty at the place where they were transferred, he said termination was not good for democracy.
Instead, the government should set the stage for discussions to sort out things amicably, he added.
