GoAir office gutted in a fire at Goa airport
Panaji, July 13 (UNI) The office of private airliner, GoAirline, located on the first floor of the administrative wing of the Dhabolim airport in Goa, was gutted in a major fire here today.
''The fire was extinguished before it spread to the neighbouring Indigo and Spicejet offices, with the timely intervention of the fire services,'' the airport station director Mr B Paul Manickam told UNI.
The authorities alerted the fire brigade after noticing smoke emanating from the office at about 0840 hrs. Fire personnel broke open the office and extinquished the blaze within an hour.
They also broke open the adjoining offices of Indigo and Spicejet as a precautionary measure.
The authorities suspect short-circuit to be the cause of the mishap. The flight schedules however, were not affected, Mr Manickam added.
